Last week was spent writing my first articles (see previous post) and revising for my forthcoming Biomass and Wind Energy exams for the Loughborough University REST (Renewable Energy systems Technology) MSc.
I have some more news, as of 4th February I am lucky enough to start a new role at Solent University (more of this later). So not a great deal of time to enjoy this short and sweet period of pure freelancing.
A great example of the joys of freelancing was last Wednesday. I went for a 5 mile walk around Sway in the New Forest and the exceedingly beautiful Thorns Enclosure (no relation). Followed by a scrumptious bacon & brie toasted baguette at the beach cafe on Friars Cliff next to Christchurch (open 365 days a year).
And the best part. Seeing mid-week mid-winter England for the first time since well, before school I guess. It reminded me of my last few weeks of backpacking in 1994 in terms of not having to be anywhere at any time. Also seeing the roads of the New Forest so empty was surreal.
